โดยวงไอดอลเกิร์ลกรุ๊ปล่าสุดของญี่ปุ่นที่มีสมาชิก 8 คนถูกตั้งชื่อว่า Virtual Currency Girls หรือเรียกชื่อในภาษาญี่ปุ่นว่า “คาโซสึกะ โชโจ” โดยที่แต่ละคนจะเป็นตัวแทนของสกุลเงินดิจิตอลชนิดต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น บิทคอย์น ( Bitcoin ), อีเธอเรียม ( Ethereum ) หรือ ริปเปิล ( Ripple ) และจะมีการสวมหน้ากากแต่ละสกุลเงิน แต่งตัวด้วยชุดเมดทำความสะอาดสไตล์การ์ตูนญี่ปุ่น สวมถุงเท้ายาว ทำให้พวกเธอดูน่ารักตามแบบฉบับเกิร์ลกรุ๊ป โดยมีการเปิดตัวที่โตเกียวไปเมื่อกลางเดือนที่ผ่านมา

ทางด้าน รารา นารุเสะ วัย 18 ปีหัวหน้าวง ได้เผยว่าวงของเธอมีคอนเซปท์ที่ชัดเจน คือต้องการประชาสัมพันธ์ และเผยแพร่สกุลเงินดิจิตอลผ่านทางรูปแบบของ “ความบันเทิง” ให้ทุกคนได้รู้จักเงินชนิดนี้ว่าไม่ใช่เป็นแค่เครื่องมือเก็งกำไรเท่านั้น แต่เป็นเทคโนโลยีแสนวิเศษหลังมีการอนุมัติให้สกุลเงินดิจิตอลเป็นสิ่งถูกกฎหมายตั้งแต่เมื่อเดือน เม.ย. ปีที่แล้วด้วย

ส่วนเพลงเปิดตัวมีชื่อว่า "The Moon and Virtual Currencies and Me" นั้น มีเนื้อหาเตือนให้ต่อต้านพวกทำธุรกิจออนไลน์แบบฉ้อโกง และเตือนทุกคนเช็คให้แน่ใจว่าธุรกรรมออนไลน์ของเราได้รับการคุ้มกันอย่างดี

และเพื่อรักษาธีมดังกล่าวไว้ คนที่มาเป็นแฟนคลับของวงนี้ก็จะเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของวง ได้ด้วยการจ่ายเงิน 0.001 บิทคอย์น หรือประมาณ 478 บาท เพื่อจะได้ถ่ายภาพกับหนึ่งในสมาชิกวงที่พวกเขาชื่นชอบ และยังรวมไปถึงได้จับมือและพูดคุยกับศิลปินอย่างใกล้ชิดอีกเล็กน้อยด้วย

นอกจากจะใช้จ่ายเพื่อร่วมกิจกรรมของวงแล้ว ในอนาคตยังต้องใช้เงินดิจิตอลเหล่านี้ในการซื้อบัตรคอนเสิร์ต รวมถึงของที่ระลึกของวง จะไม่มีการรับเงินสด แต่จะรับเฉพาะเงินดิจิตอลเท่านั้นด้วย

ทางด้านแฟนคลับที่เริ่มสนับสนุนสาวๆ มาตั้งแต่ยังไม่เดบิวต์ ก็ได้แสดงความเห็นกับเรื่องนี้ โดย ฮิโรชิ คาซาฮารา วัย 43 ปี ที่ทำธุรกิจโฆษณา ก็เอ่ยปากว่า “ผมเคยเทรดหุ้นแล้วก็ทำพวกแลกเปลี่ยนเงินตราต่างประเทศมาก่อน แต่ไม่เคยเล่นบิทคอย์นหรือเงินดิจิตอลนี้เลย เพราะว่าผมค่อนข้างจะกลัวนิดหน่อย แต่ผมก็อยากเปิดบัญชีขึ้นมาเลยถ้าวงนี้รับเฉพาะเงินดิจิตอล”

มาโกโต ซาโตะ หนุ่มออฟฟิศวัย 42 ปี กล่าวว่า “ถือว่าพวกเธอให้คำแนะนำที่ดีมากเลยครับ ผมคงจะลองดู ตราบใดที่มันเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงทำให้ชีวิตผมสะดวกสบาย และสนุกสนานมากขึ้น”
